Commercial energy storage. Madrid, Spain
A 128 kWh battery system for a restaurant group.
Design and integration of a storage system with 8 LFP batteries and 2 hybrid inverters of 12 kW each, built to optimise the tariff: energy is bought when it is cheap and used when it is expensive.
We started from the real consumption curve of the business, in fifteen minute steps. Those numbers led us to resize the system and to replace the inverter technology that had been planned, on our own technical judgement. Performance is then watched month by month.
What we found in their bills
- Excess power. Peaks of around 54 kW against 50 kW contracted, already being paid as penalties.
- Reactive energy. A penalty repeated every month on the main contract.
- A very seasonal price spread. 8 cents per kWh in the best months and 0.3 in the worst. Arbitrage only pays off during part of the year.

Results will be published by comparing the bills from after with the ones from before. Photos, once the system is in place.
